Dr. Michelle Kobbe
Dr. Michelle Kobbe was born and raised in Oceanside, NY. She completed her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Villanova University graduating Summa Cum Laude. She was the recipient of the John McClain Medallion for outstanding academic performance in her major. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, Dr. Michelle wanted to experience independence for her own personal growth and development. She flew west to Southern California University of Health Sciences, where she earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree. Dr. Kobbe graduated Summa Cum Laude and was awarded to the Dean's List.
After graduating Chiropractic school, Dr. Michelle moved to a small town in Indiana to pursue an internship program with one of her chiropractic idols, who specialized in pediatric and perinatal care. There she experienced first hand the miracles of chiropractic in a family based practice.
Shortly after she began her education, Dr. Michelle attended a workshop on pediatric and perinatal care. It is at that moment she fell in love with chiropractic. Understanding the importance of chiropractic care for both a pregnant mother and her developing child gave Dr. Michelle a complete understanding for the "why" behind chiropractic. She understood how imperative a normally functioning nerve system is to your overall health and well being and how a child could grow with greater health potential under chiropractic care. It is this passion that Dr. Michelle brings to Larkfield Wellness Center, which she founded in the fall of 2007. Dr. Michelle is committed to guiding others in the realization that health and healing occur from within and to understanding the simple fact that we were all born to be healthy. Dr. Michelle will be completing a prestigious pediatric certification program this year through the International Pediatric Health Association.
Dr. Michelle lives in S.Huntington with her incredibly supportive and loving husband John Phelan and her beautiful daughter Holly Shea. She loves to read, run and be creative!
